The lack of fonts in this application make it useless. Save yourself the dollar an look this stuff up on wikipedia.

As a student in design school, it is just great to see gorgeous historical typefaces in large size with retina display. Might be not enough for the professional designers but, definitely great app for the students in design school. Can be used together with textbook.
I would also like more historical information about the fonts. Like what exactly make a font considered Garald or transitional? In type inspector, after selecting a font at the top you can hit mark. What is it trying to show you?
Has the insights into typography I was looking for. Great app
A tool for drawing your own comparison. An exercise in making a pretty app thats ultimately shallow and lacking history, context or explanation.
App is in infant stage.
The app lacks depth. Among other things, it needs more fonts. The user interface is not intuitive. Its clunky and can be confusing. Navigating around the app forces portrait to landscape to portrait, etc. It forces constant rotation of your phone just to use the app with no user choice to do so. I wouldnt recommend paying for this app in its current state, but I remain hopeful that the developers will continue improving the app. It definitely has potential.
Im looking forward to updates in the app. The only thing Im disappointed in is that it doesnt include any information on ligatures which I was hoping the app would cover but its a totally absent element.
This app should be free for what you get. I love the concept but there are barely any fonts and its certainly not very fluid to compare and contrast font styles (one letter at a time). Save your money. Definitely needs more substance!
This app wont be worth it if it were free. I expected more fonts. Disappointing app!
Good idea in theory, but unfortunately doesnt deliver. The app is difficult to navigate, and some buttons dont work at all. Could be great with some big updates.
Many other apps show you different apps, but this helps you really UNDERSTAND the difference between similar fonts like Garamond, Caslon, Times New Roman, and Baskerville. These fonts look similar to the uninitiated, but they really have a different appearance on the page.
Some good basics to typography... I wish its go a bit more in depth with it... Also would be cool if I could compare fonts I have installed on my phone and iPad
I love type and this app is amazing
I love various features and simple sections to learn different aspects of typography. It feels like the playground for the designers. Hope we can get kerning feature on iPhone version too!
Ive been working with desktop publishing type for pushing 30 years now, and this app gave me an insight into how to compare typefaces systematically that I would never have thought otherwise. Its great!
I was not expecting this app to be so elegant and interesting.
